Internet Marketing Tips – Open Up Your Eyes And Look Around
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: internet marketing strategies, internet marketing strategy, strategic internet marketingAbout the only thing you can say about the Internet for certain is that it is always changing. All you have to do is look around and you can see that ways of marketing that we have today... many of them were not around two years ago. And advertising is not the only thing that has changed over the years. Methods of product creation have also changed. With the advent of video, products are being created that we never thought of before. In this article, I am going to cover some things that you should be aware of when creating products and promoting them. Hopefully, by the time you're done reading this, you'll be ready to face the new Internet. The first thing you must be aware of is that marketing is changing. Years ago, video was almost unheard of. The majority of users online had dial-up connections, and the thought of viewing the video was almost unheard-of. Today, with the advent of sites like YouTube, video is more popular than ever. As a matter of fact, there are very few marketers today who do not take advantage of it. Another big part of marketing today is social bookmarking. Sites like Digg, and Stumbleupon have become very big for marketers. And those who know how to make the most of these sites are showing huge profits with their business. Naturally, it takes a little bit of cleverness to use these sites effectively. That is essentially what separates those more successful from those who are not. Getting away from marketing, product creation is also very important. What most marketers don't seem to understand is that there are only so many products that you can actually create. What separates one product from another is its uniqueness to the other product. For example, two products on list building can be almost entirely alike except the one product, to make it unique, will add things like videos, charts and other items to differentiate it from the other product. It is called adding value to the product... which is something that many marketers fail to do. The point I am trying to make, is that you need to open up your eyes and take a look at what is around you. Marketing does not work in a vacuum. What other marketers do will affect your business. You need to be on the cutting edge of every advertising method, product creation method, and even list building method that exists online. Those who do not keep up with what is new, and what is working will be left in the dust. That is a reality that marketers face today. So open up your eyes and look around... there is a lot out there. Internet Marketing Tips – Check Please
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: internet marketing strategies, internet marketing strategy, strategic internet marketingTell me if this doesn't sound like a familiar situation. You go to a fine restaurant, sit down, order a delicious meal and when it's all over, you ask for the check, correct? You then get it, pay for your meal, leave a tip and go home. If the meal was REALLY good and the service was REALLY good, you left a bigger tip. Are we in agreement that this is a fairly common occurrence? Great! But what does this have to do with Internet marketing? Well, more than most people realize. Let me explain. The world outside of IM, in many ways, is a lot different. The restaurant is one scenario where you actually get to try your product before you pay for it. Sure, in most cases, you do end up paying. But what if the meal was really horrible and you could show that it was, like by pointing out something in your soup that shouldn't have been there? Many restaurants will let your meal be on the house, especially the finer ones. This is their way of showing you that they care about you and want you to come back. So, you're probably still asking, "What does this have to do with IM?" Well, the marketers who give value to the prospect, or customer, BEFORE they actually buy something are the ones who will make out the best. That's why you see the top merchants giving away free reports that could be ebooks by themselves. That's why you see blogs with more content than you'd find at your local library. That's why you hear about some marketers how they "over deliver" to the point of unbelievable proportions. These are the folks in this business who are making the big incomes. Point is, if you want to make it to the next level, you need to stop thinking about what you can GET out of your prospect and start thinking about how much you can GIVE him. By doing this, you'll find that more customers will be asking you for the check. And they'll be happy to pay it. To YOUR Success, Steven Wagenheim Want to get your business off on the right foot? Product Launching Tips – Organization
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online, Product Creation; Tagged as: launch a product, new product launch, new product launching, product launch, product launchingA product launch is quite an involved process. Because of this, probably the most important part of your launch is organization. If you're not used to being organized, this can be quite a challenge. So where do you begin? This article is going to go over some of the basic items that you're going to need to get organized if you're product launch is going to go over well. You can break up your product launch into three basic areas; the pre launch, launch and post launch. The pre launch is the most complex part of the whole process simply because there is so much planning. There is the creating of the buzz, which I touched on in an earlier article, the product creation process itself, notification of your JV partners, creation of your promotional material, and a bucketful of other items, not the least of which is making sure your product creation company, assuming it's a physical product, and you are on the same page so that everything goes right in the creation process itself. The launch itself is critical. You need to make sure that your hosting company is ready for the avalanche of prospects that are about to hit your sales page. If the pre buzz went as hoped, you're going to get traffic the likes of which you've never seen before. If the hosting company isn't prepared to handle this, you could end up with a real mess on your hands. And of course you have to make sure that all the launch emails go out on time from you and your JV partners. Timing is critical in this part of the launch. And then of course there is the post launch. You're going to have prospects and customers emailing you with questions. You're going to have to make sure that there were no problems with the payment and delivery processes. If anything goes wrong, this has to be handled during the post launch phase. You hope for the best but expect the worst as the last thing you want is to be taken by surprise. A serious problem during the post launch phase can cause massive refunds or worse...loss of credibility and reputation. A product launch is an involved process, but if it's carried out in a methodical manner, there is no reason why it can't be smooth and profitable. Home Business Tips – Less Complaining and More Doing
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: home base business, home based business tips, home business articles, starting a home businessThis article was inspired by a Warrior Forum post that I read today. The OP was complaining about an email that he got because the subject line offended him. He ended up opting out of the list. Now, don't get me wrong, he has every right to complain if something offends him and every right to opt out if he so chooses. My point is, these are unproductive activities (the complaining part anyway) and add nothing to the bottom line of your business. But there is more to it than just that. See, I read the piece that the OP was complaining about and I have to say, it was very well written and very informative. Most importantly, I learned something from it that is going to help me with MY business. That's the key. By applying the information that I got out of the piece, I will make more money. This person has chosen to ignore good advice simply because of the way it was presented. To me, that's cutting off your nose to spite your face. Running a home business is NOT an easy thing to do. There are many areas where you can get tripped up, from the actual conception of the business itself all the way to promotion and product delivery. The things that could go wrong would stun a team of horses in their tracks. This is part of the reason why so many home business owners fail. They aren't prepared for all the pitfalls along the way. And if you're going to cut yourself off from quality information, just because it was presented in a way that you found objectionable, then you are doing your business a disservice. For what it's worth, I found the piece mildly objectionable at worst. Certainly there was nothing in it that would make me unsubscribe and lose out on so much quality info that would help my business. But that's just me. I prefer to do less complaining and more doing. That's how you make MORE money. And as far as I'm concerned...that's the ONLY thing that matters. To YOUR Success, Steven Wagenheim Want to get your business off on the right foot? Jan31The Talking Heads. Remember them? They had some really great tunes. My personal favorite was "Wild Wild Life." If you saw the video, you would have noticed that John Goodman was in it. Anyway, the talking head that I'm talking about in this article is the style of video that most people create for their marketing. You know, where they get up in front of the camera and, well, talk. Some of them are darn boring to say the least. Well, if your talking head marketing video is dull, here are some ways to liven them up. I really need to thank my friend Kevin Riley, who is so great with videos, for this first one. I was watching one of this talking head videos and noticed how he alternated between one view and another so as to break things up a bit. When I spoke to him, what he told me was that he simply shot the video from two different angles with two different cameras. He then went into his editor and pieced together parts from each angle. This did wonders for breaking up the monotony. Another thing you can do is alternate between the talking head and a graph, kind of like a Powerpoint slide. You can speak about one topic in your video and then part way through the presentation, show a slide with statistics relevant to what you're talking about. This will give the viewer a little break from your face for a while. It's probably a good idea to sprinkle in these slides every few minutes or so. I don't recommend talking for any longer than five minutes at a clip. Then of course you can simply shoot each part of the video itself from different locations. You can start out from your home and then maybe after a few minutes, work your way to outside your home. Maybe have yourself being filmed in your car after that. By mixing up the locations, you also break up the monotony and keep the person interested in what you're talking about. You don't have to be the greatest speaker in the world. Sometimes, just by giving somebody something different to look at every five minutes or so, you can greatly break up the boredom in your video and keep the viewer glued to your every word. Jan30This is one of the biggest complaints I hear from people. "Mommy, the big boys won't play with me." By big boys, I'm referring to the ones in Internet marketing who are making the big bucks. Everybody and their grandmother wants the so called "guru" to pitch his or her latest and greatest creation. And then, when that doesn't happen, they whine about it. Well, there is a reason why that doesn't happen...actually many reasons. This article will explain the main ones and how to get around them. Yes, you CAN get the big boys to play with you if you play THEIR game. First mistake marketers make, and this is the killer, is they simply write to these big guns and flat out ask them for some kind of joint venture. "Hey, I got this great product. How about promoting it for me?" This is NOT the way to go about it. A better approach would be to actually get to know the person first. Maybe go to a seminar and meet them in person. Then, send them an email and ask them if there is something you can do for them to help them out. You'd be surprised how far this approach can take you. Another reason why the big boys don't play with you is because they just don't have the time. Think about it. These are very successful people and they get bombarded with JV requests all the time. If they responded to each request, they'd never get any work done. And make no mistake about it...they have TONS of work to do. So what you might want to do in order to get around this is to send them a very polite email telling them that you know they're very busy and would appreciate, at their leisure, if they would look over your product and let you know what they think. Tell them there is no rush on this and thank them for their time. You'll be surprised how well this approach works. Another reason the big boys won't play with you, and this is not to be rude or anything like that, but you're a total nobody. I mean you've never even sold ONE unit of a product you've created. You are nowhere on the radar at all. At least build up a little bit of a name for yourself. Sell a few units of something. Create a product, get it sold and show these people what you've done. Show them some testimonials that you have. Let them see that you DO create quality products. They might be more receptive to working with you. It's not easy to get the big boys to play with you, but if you follow the above suggestions, it does get a whole lot easier. Article Writing Tips – How to Write an Opinion Piece
Filed under: Article Writing; Tagged as: Article Writing, tips on article writing, writing an articleYou know what they say about opinions. Everybody has one. And that's why writing an opinion piece can be an exercise in futility if it's not done correctly. You're probably thinking, "How can an opinion be correct or not correct?" It can't, but there are better ways to approach opinion pieces than others. In this article, I'm going to give you my opinion on what the best way is to write an opinion piece, based on my personal experience. There is a lot of irony in this article, wouldn't you say? I'm giving you my opinion on writing opinion pieces. The key to this however, is that I am giving it based on my personal experience. Also, quite ironically, there is your answer in a nutshell...experience. It's hard to argue with somebody when they are speaking from experience. I've been writing for over 30 years and my best articles, at least the ones that got the most feedback, were the ones where I was writing from experience. Okay, but what if you don't have personal experience with a subject? What if you're writing an opinion piece on whether the government should pass a certain law or not? Let's say the law had something to do with a certain type of crime, calling for stiffer penalties. If you've never broken the law, or been a victim of that crime, you can't speak from experience. So then what do you do? That's where you move onto the next best thing. Back up your opinion with some statistics. For example, let's take that newly proposed law. Certainly there has to be some statistics that support the passing of the law. Seek them out and present them in your article. Give your opinion that the law should be passed and point out these statistics, whether it be people murdered, raped, robbed or whatever. By showing how the current law is not much of a deterrent, you make your case for the new, tougher law. It's not rocket science and it works very well. When you give your opinion and back it up with either your personal experience or some solid facts, it's hard to go wrong with your article. Home Business Tips – How Much Can I Make Doing This?
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: home base business, home based business tips, home business articles, starting a home businessOne of the most common questions I get asked by people who want to start their own home based business is this one...how much can I make doing this? Have you asked this question yourself? I have a confession to make. When I first started, over six years ago, I asked that same question. Guess what? It's the worst question you can possible ask and I'm going to explain not only why it's a bad question but also why you're asking it. It's something that most people just don't realize. When I first started trying to make a living at home, I had already been working in the brick and mortar world for one boss or another for about 25 years. The only thing I knew was getting up at 7 AM, being at work by 9 AM, coming home at 5 PM and picking up a paycheck every week. That was my life and that was all I knew for 25 years. My mindset was that of a worker collecting a weekly check. So naturally, when you leave that world, as I was forced to do, you're still in that mindset...looking for a weekly paycheck. It is because of this that you ask that question. It's only natural. It's what you're used to. But you see, here is why this question is so bad to ask. It locks you into that same mindset. You're looking for a guaranteed income and in this business, there is no such thing. When you're running your own home business, you're not punching a clock. Nobody is going to tell you when to go to work and when to go home. And, along with that, nobody is going to issue you a paycheck each week. You are on your own to work when you want and YOU alone are responsible for making sure you get paid. Because there are no guarantees with your own home business, it could be weeks, months, or even years before you see any real money. So if you enter into this with the mindset of how much can I make, you're going to be in for quite a culture shock when and if it doesn't pan out the way you expected. So what's the answer? The answer is simple. You need to go into starting your own business with an open mind and get used to working without a safety net. By not limiting yourself to the "how much can I make" mentality, you will ultimately open yourself up to the possibilities of making more money than you've ever seen in your life. Jan30Like it or not, presentation is everything. I know, it's not fair. It should be what you know and not how you dress it up. The problem is, everything in this world, no matter what it is, is judged on its appearance. You go to look at a new home to purchase and the only thing you look at is how the home looks. The foundation could be falling apart, but it the home looks nice, you'll buy it. Well, affiliate marketing is kind of like that, sad to say. It's how you present the product that matters to the prospective buyer. This article is going to explain why this is so and how to put your best foot forward. The simple reason why appearances matter so much is because quite honestly, when you're buying a product, especially an info product, what do you really have to go on in making your decision? You have a fancy sales page and that's about it. You're pretty much buying on faith, unless you've gotten some referrals from a few friends who highly recommend the product. But how often does that happen? So in most cases, your ears are all you have to go on. Okay, so how do you present your affiliate product in the best light? Well, I've found, from experience, that the most important thing is to have a site that looks nice. It doesn't matter if it's a blog, a sales page or whatever. If it looks like garbage, forget it. The prospect is going to close up your page quicker than you can say Bob's your uncle. It doesn't matter if the review on that page is the most well written thing in the whole world. Your prospect will never get around to reading it. Unfair? Maybe. Nobody said that life was fair. However, if you're going to compete with the other affiliates out there, you're going to have to make sure that the site that you put up is one that prospects will look at and not run away from in droves. Of course, you also better have something to say as well. But that's for another article. To YOUR Success, Steven Wagenheim Tired of being an affiliate failure? Want to turn yourself into an affiliate assassin like I am? Want to land in the top 20 of every affiliate promotion you tackle just like I do? Check out my site at http://www.stevewagenheim.com/affiliateassassin/index.html and start earning a solid income as an affiliate marketer. No Comments

Copywriting Tips – How to Present the Price
Filed under: Copywriting; Tagged as: Copywriting, copywriting course, Copywriting tips, copywriting tips for beginners, learn copywritingJust tell me how much the darn thing costs already. That's the attitude of a lot of people. They just want to know how much the item costs as that's solely how they're going to make their decision as to whether or not to buy. Like it or not, some people are like that. But either way, whether it's those folks or the ones who way other factors, presenting price in salescopy is an art. There are many ways to go about presenting price. This article will go over a few. One way is to just be direct about it. This will usually work with items that are very low in price. There is no point in beating around the bush. If you're selling a $10 item, how much coaxing do you really have to do? So, if that's the case, after describing the item, you can simply say something like, "You can have all this for just $10." Notice I use the word "just." This implies that the item is priced low. Leaving it out will make a big difference in the conversion. It's psychological, but it works. Another way is to show the person what you could have sold the product for. I'm sure you've seen this tactic on many sales pages. It goes something like this... "I could easily sell this package for $97, $197, or even $297. But you won't have to pay that much for what I'm giving you here. You can literally steal this from me for one low payment of $67." By using this approach, you make the prospect see that they are getting a true bargain. If they believe that the product could be sold for as much as $297, then selling it for $67 makes the prospect believe that he is getting real value for very little. Finally, what you could do is add up the various parts of the product, especially if it's a number of ebooks. I'm sure you've seen this tactic as well. The copywriter shows a box with each book and a dollar value next to each one. At the bottom, he adds up the amounts and shows how much the package could be sold for. He then presents the actual price. This is a very effective approach. The above tactics should be more than enough for you to be able to present YOUR price in the best light.
