    Article Writing Tips – 3 Tips For Better Titles

    Filed under: Article Writing;

    It doesn’t matter how great your article is. It can be Pulitzer Prize winning material. If the title of the article itself doesn’t get people to want to read it, you might as well have not written it at all. Well, this is a problem that a lot of article writers have. They just can’t come up with good titles, let alone great ones. Well, in this article, I’m going to share with you three super tips for coming up with article titles. I think you’ll find these quite helpful.

    Let’s take the title of this article. This is one of the simplest and most effective methods. The title is broken up into two parts. The first part is the general “Article Writing Tips.” This is the part of the title that tells the person reading the article that they’re going to be reading something to do with article writing. The second part is the more specific “3 Tips For Better Titles.” This tells the reader exactly what they’re going to be learning in regard to article writing. It’s simple and effective. I use this method for 90% of the articles I write.

    Another great technique is the “question title.” This is where you ask the potential reader a question in regard to the subject they’re interested in. For example, I could have called this article, “Are You Making These Common Title Writing Mistakes?” A person, out of curiosity, will read it to find out if they are making those mistakes. Naturally, the content of the article would have to be slightly different than the current focus.

    And then of course there is the warning. Warnings scare the heck out of people. Nobody likes warnings but they can’t help but reading the articles associated with them in fear that if they don’t, something terrible will happen to them. So, as an example, I could have used the title “Warning…These Title Writing Mistakes Can Kill Your Articles.” People are going to want to know what they are.

    These three methods can be applied to just about any subject out there. Try them out. I am sure you’ll find that more of your articles get read in the process.
