Inspiration…where does it come from? It’s one of the mysteries of anything in life. What inspires us to do what we do? For some, it’s watching a well known celebrity demonstrate his craft. For others, it’s a heart warming story. Each of us is inspired by different things. So what do you do when you just can’t get inspired enough to write that article you’ve been putting off for weeks? Well, in this installment of our article writing A-Z series, we’re going to tackle the problem of getting inspired. Hope you find this helpful.

One of the reasons we tend to be uninspired is because we write about the same things day after day. I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but I write on a variety of topics, not just article writing. I write about marketing, copywriting, gambling, music and a ton of other things. I have many interests. Thus, if I get bored with one topic, I always have many others to choose from. The more you are into, the easier it is to get inspired to write something about a topic.

But what if you just don’t have that many interests? What if your whole life is playing chess? Well, the first thing you need to do is take a look at what you’ve written so far about the game. Have the articles simply been pieces on how to play better? If so, why not take a different look at the subject? Why not try writing about the history of chess? Or how about this…writing an article about how you took a young chess prodigy and turned him into a champion at age 10. Certainly you have to have stories about your chess playing days. There are many sub topics that you can choose to write about. And this is true for just about any topic.

If all else fails, go for a walk to clear your head. Sometimes you just need a little fresh air. Look around at what’s out on the street. Perhaps something you see will inspire you. Watch some TV. If there is a channel that caters to your niche, watch it. Maybe there is a news development on the subject. Maybe there is a new product or technique related to your niche.

Inspiration comes to those who go out and look for it. The above tips should help you on your way.
