Article Writing Tips – P is For Passion
Filed under: Article Writing; Tagged as: Article Writing, tips on article writing, writing an articleNo CommentsIn this installment of my article writing tips series, A-Z, we’re up to the letter P. I’m going to tackle the subject of passion. Let me tell you, I have read plenty of articles that not only lacked passion but lacked any kind of feeling whatsoever. Dry reading doesn’t even begin to describe some of the garbage I have had to wade through. Some of these writers should go back to school and learn how to think. Okay, I’ve ranted long enough. Truth is, if you have no passion for your writing, do something else…because NOBODY is going to read your slop.
Okay, I know what you’re going to ask. “But what if I don’t have any passion for the subject I’m writing on? What if I’m just writing on it because I want to make a few bucks as an article marketer or freelancer?”
Here’s my answer.
Then right about something else for crying out loud!
I mean for Pete’s sake, there are so many topics out there that you can write on. You mean to tell me that the only ones you can find are topics that not only put the reader to sleep but put you to sleep in the process? If you’re not asleep then you must be in a coma because your writing sure almost puts me into one. Do you have any idea how many things there are in this world to write on that are actually profitable? And with all of them, you pick something that you couldn’t give two beans about?
Man, what is the matter with you?
There is so much dull pabulum in this world. I turn on my TV and see these insipid commercials for stuff that, heck, I don’t even know what it does. I listen to songs on the radio that sound like they were written by somebody who’s tone deaf. Please don’t add to the drivel of this world. Bad writing is bad enough, but bad uninspired writing should be made illegal.
You may not agree with what I’m saying, but for the love of all that’s holy in this world, at least you can see that I feel passionately about it.
So enough…enough of the bland, generic, horrible writing that writers crank out like M&Ms.
Put some passion into your words or for crying out loud…go get a job digging ditches.
At least you can’t put THEM to sleep.
To YOUR Success,
Steven Wagenheim
