Article Writing Tips – The Polling Article
Filed under: Article Writing; Tagged as: Article Writing, tips on article writing, writing an articleNo CommentsReading articles is okay, but when you get your reader involved, that’s when you really have something going for you. A reader who is drawn into your article and asked to take some kind of action, is more likely to follow through with doing whatever it is YOU want them to do. And there is no better way to do this than with what I call the polling article. I’m going to show you just how easy it is to pull this off.
Polling articles work best when you’re writing about some news event. For example, as of this writing, Michael Vick has just signed a two year deal with the Eagles. This is very big news today because of all the trouble that Vick has been in. If you don’t know what it was, time to get out of your cave. It was probably one of the biggest news items of the last two years.
What you do with a polling article is simple. After giving the facts of the news story, you simply ask your readers a question at the end and then ask that they go to your site to answer it. For example, with the Michael Vick signing, you could ask people if they think he should be allowed to play professional football again, and then place a simple yes or no poll up on your site. This will get the reader from your article to your site with very little trouble.
It’s a simple, yet effective tactic. The reason it’s so effective is because of human nature. People love to give their opinions on things. By opening up a poll for them to respond to, it’s almost a sure thing that they’re going to head to your site to answer it.
Try it sometime. You just might be surprised at the results you get.
To YOUR Success.
