With all the tips I’ve covered in the many articles I’ve written on this subject, there is one topic I have yet to touch on…the person who flat out can’t write. I hear it all the time. “I can’t write.” You know what? Some people CAN’T write. It’s true. They absolutely stink at writing. So what do they do? Can they actually learn how to write articles? Well, the answer is yes. I’m going to first explain why and then show you how to do it. I think you’ll find this article quite helpful.

First of all, think about it. When you were born, did you know anything? Didn’t you come out of the womb with absolutely no knowledge at all? You didn’t know anything, not even the language you speak today. Everything you know has been learned. So why is it that you can’t learn to write? The truth is, you don’t WANT to learn to write. It bores you. Well, if that’s the case, but you still want to make a living writing articles, you’ve got no choice but to learn. And the truth is, it isn’t that hard. Here are my suggestions.

At the top of the list, read other people’s articles. You can read, right? Well let me tell you, the best learning you can possibly do is from reading. You’ll get to see styles, choices of words, topics that people like to write about. As a matter of fact, just by reading, you might actually stumble onto topics that you’re interested in and want to write about yourself. But most importantly, you’ll get to see how articles are structured. Once you understand the structure, articles are easy to write.

Another thing you can do is get yourself a good book on article writing. There are many out there. The really good ones will give you a formula to follow. One such formula is simple once you’ve decided on a topic and title for your article. Write an intro telling people what you’re going to be writing about, then break each point up into individual paragraphs and then finish off with a summary of what you just told them. It’s a very common formula used by a lot of article writers and it works well. A good book will teach you this and a lot more.

Writing doesn’t have to be hard and it doesn’t have to be boring, especially if you’re writing about something that you have an interest in. Start with that and then work your way up to writing for clients.
