Copywriting Tips – 3 Great Tips For Greater Guarantees

A lot of people wonder why that is. Well, in this article I am not only going to give you some killer tips for great guarantees but I am going to explain to you why the guarantee is so important to your sales copy. Without a solid one, you are greatly reducing your chances to convert that prospect into a paying customer. Keep reading to find out why you need one and how to turn yours into a can’t miss proposition.
The Internet has burned a lot of people. That is a fact. Go back to the dot com bust of the 90s and you’ll find that since then, people are very skeptical of anything to do with the Internet. Therefore, getting a prospect to buy anything from you is not as easy as it used to be many years ago. That is why you have to assure them in your sales copy that there is no risk involved with their purchase. If you can successfully do this, you will have a much better chance of closing the sale.
The first tip I am going to give you is to make your guarantee for a long a period of time as you can. Many marketers will give a standard 30 or 60 day one. This is not good enough…not anymore. You need to make yours at least six months to a year to really win the confidence of people. Now, a lot of folks will say that six months to a year is a long time and you’ll get many returns because of it. You won’t. The reason you won’t is because by the time six months passes, most buyers will have forgotten they even bought the item from you. So make yours as long as possible and you’ll actually reduce refunds.
The second tip is to offer double or even triple your money back. Now, what you do to make it a little more difficult for people to take advantage of this is to tell them that in order to get double or triple their money back, they have to write you a letter (not email) and explain why they’re asking for their money back. Most people will be too lazy to do this.
The third tip is to tell the customer that not only will you accept all the risk, but that they don’t even have to pay you until after the guarantee period is over. In other words, once the period ends, that is when you will put the charge through on their credit card.
By using any of these methods, you can greatly increase the number of sales that you will make.
