I find it absolutely amazing. People know that they need such and such an item. They go plowing through the search engines trying to find this life saver that is going to turn their wretched existence into a dream and when they finally find it…they balk. They make all kinds of excuses WHY they don’t want it or need it or whatever. Overcoming buyer objections is one of the toughest things to do when marketing, not just online but offline as well. Fear not! There are many things you can do to overcome buyer objections. In this article, I am going to cover three big ones. So pay attention.

Let’s start off with the biggest one of all. What if it doesn’t work? There is always that fear in the mind of the buyer…that he’ll purchase something and it doesn’t do what YOU say it’s going to do. This is where the guarantee comes in. By offering the buyer an iron clad guarantee for whatever terms you want to make it for, this gives the buyer a little more piece of mind. He knows that is the product doesn’t do what he expects it to do, he can return it. Now, the stronger your guarantee, the better. Guarantees of double your money back or lifetime guarantees are very strong motivators. So think very hard about the guarantee you offer.

Another big objection is, it’s too much money. This is where you have to show the buyer how much money it would cost them NOT to purchase your product. For example, if you’re selling a product that promises to take their finances and prepare a budget from the data they put it, explain to them how not doing this will cost them infinitely more money in the long run because by not keeping track of their income and expenses, they end up spending more money than they have. You always have to show the buyer how not getting your product will cost him more money in the long run.

Another big objection is that they won’t have the time to use your product. This is where you have to show them that by actually using your product they will save time. For example, let’s say that you’re selling an HTML editor. They may say that they don’t have the time to learn to use it. But if you show them that it doesn’t take long to learn and then ultimately by using it they save time in not having to code by hand, they will see how, in the long run, they will actually save hours of time.

If you want to make sales online, you MUST overcome your buyer’s objections. These are 3 great ways to do just that.
