It is my hope that this article gets you thinking a little bit. This is a question that comes up a lot. Should I put all my efforts into promoting just ONE affiliate product or should I diversify and promote as many products as I can? The answer isn’t as cut and dry as you might think. As a matter of fact, there is no right or wrong answer to this question. Therefore, I am just going to give you some of the pros and cons of each and you can decide which is best for you.

The pros of promoting just one affiliate product are several. For one thing, you establish yourself as an expert on that product. People will respect your opinion about it more than if you were promoting everything under the sun. Another benefit is that you can concentrate all your marketing efforts on just one product and probably make quite a few sales of it.

The problem with promoting just one product is this. If the product owner goes out of business, so do you. Even if he doesn’t, what if he stops selling the product, or makes changes to it that you don’t approve of? As an affiliate marketer, the last thing you want to do is promote a product that’s a piece of garbage. It’s not good for your reputation. By putting all your eggs into one basket, you risk being put out of business.

With diversification, you have multiple opportunities to make money. Some products may sell better than others. This gives you a chance to see what the best sellers are. This way, over time, you can come up with a group of products that are all great sellers. The problem with this is, if you’re on a limited budget, there is only so much advertising you can do for each. This IS going to limit how much money you can make from each product.

So as you can see, there is no perfect solution. However, whether you concentrate all your efforts into one product or diversify, you better know how to market them. In my signature is something that just might help.
