Finding the killer products to sell is NOT what you think. Yeah, I know. We all have our ideas of what’s hot and what’s not, but let me tell you something from my personal experience of five plus years of affiliate marketing; many marketers make the mistake of choosing the wrong products to sell and as a result make no sales whatsoever. I’m going to explain to you why this happens and then I’m going to show you a better way to go about it.

At the top of the list of mistakes, as far as choosing an affiliate product to sell, is heading over to the Clickbank marketplace, looking for the top selling product in whatever category you’re interested in, and then promoting the heck out of it. Why is this a mistake? If you take a look at these products, you will see that their gravities are in the hundreds. Going up against that many affiliates, especially when you’re first starting out, is suicide. The chances of you making any sales at all are slim to none.

Another big mistake is waiting for Mr. Joe Guru to come out with his latest hot product. What marketers don’t realize is that these guys have list of 10,000 marketers or more. Each one of them is going to be looking to promote this product. Many of them are other gurus with equally large lists. So you’re going to be going up against even more people when it comes to promoting the latest product by a big name marketer.

So what’s the answer? Let’s go back to Clickbank and to their marketplace. You will find, if you look, many products with gravities of 30 to 50. These products have proven to sell BUT they don’t have everybody and their grandmother selling them. This gives you an excellent chance of getting your share of the profits because you won’t have as many people to compete with. It’s that simple.

So don’t go banging your head against the wall when it comes to picking a product to market.

There ARE simpler ways to go about it.
