I’m a very successful affiliate marketer, but do you know why? It’s not because I have a huge list or anything like that. It’s because I take the time to actually sell products that other people want and can believe in. Why is that? Because I take the time to actually review the products I sell. Not many affiliate marketers do this. In this article I’m going to show you how simple this is to incorporate into your marketing routine. So pay attention and make sure you take notes.

Finding a product is easy. Just head on over to any affiliate showcase like Clickbank, PayDotCom, Commission Junction, Sharesale or wherever. It doesn’t matter. They all have excellent products to sell. Pick out one that you think looks like it has promise. With Clickbank products, I usually go for items that have commission amounts of at least $25 and a gravity of between 30 and 70. I find these products are the easiest and the most profitable to sell.

After you have your product, contact the product creator and ask for a review copy. If he asks you why, be honest. Tell him that you’re an affiliate marketer and that you’re interested in promoting his product and the way you do this is by reviewing the product first. This way, you can talk about it more intelligently and ultimately make more sales. Trust me, nine times out of ten, the owner will agree to give you a review copy. If not, just move on to another product.

After you get the product, read it completely. Make sure you understand that product from beginning to end. When you write your review, you don’t want it to sound like a sales pitch. You want to tell people what you like about the product as well as what you don’t like about it. This will make your review honest, which will in turn make it more believable because it IS honest. This is why I don’t understand why marketers feel they have to lie. It doesn’t increase sales.

If you follow these above tips, you’ll find that your affiliate sales WILL go up.
