The biggest problem that people have with affiliate marketing is that they jump on the biggest seller, regardless of what niche it’s in. They think that if they sell a product that is selling well, they’ll make tons of sales. The thing that they don’t realize is that they are competing with a ton of affiliates, some of which are masters at this. So trying to sell what everybody else is selling makes affiliate marketing very difficult.

Another big problem that marketers have is that they really don’t know how to go about promoting affiliate products. They pick up a few Adwords tips and think that’s all they have to do in order to be successful. Well, for one thing, Adwords is just one way to promote products online, and an expensive one at that, and for another, there are many other ways to promote that won’t cost you a cent.

Finally, even if marketers don’t jump on the hottest selling products, they don’t know how to pick a product properly. Many marketers pick products to sell that don’t have a snow balls chances of selling because they don’t understand the market or the product. This ultimately leads to more failure.
