That is your goal, right? Affiliate marketers are a different breed from us product creators. They’re not interested in getting their names on the latest gizmo. All they want to do is sell products and make lots of money. Let the product creators deal with the hassles of creating sales pages and handling refunds and customer support. Just give me my money, right? Well, if you want to be a top affiliate marketer, you’re going to have to get away from your current mindset. Don’t know what I mean? This article will fill you in.

At the very top of the list of things you need to get away from is what I call the “herd mentality.” What do I mean? Well, tell me if this doesn’t sound familiar. You get word that there’s this product at the Clickbank marketplace that is selling like hotcakes. It’s got a gravity of 300 plus. So you head on over, create your affiliate link and start promoting it all over creation. There you are, little old you going up against hundreds of affiliates…each one trying to get their share of sales.

To make matters worse, you don’t even create your own ads. No, what do you do? You head on over to the affiliate center and grad a hold of some of those canned ads that the merchant has all ready for you. Hey, don’t get me wrong…they’re good ads. He probably had his best copywriter make them. Problem is, these are the same ads that everybody else is using. So if you think you’re going to stand out from the crowd, you’re not going to do it using these canned ads. Trust me, you’re wasting your time.

Throw into the mix the fact that you use the same tired and worn out promotional methods that everybody else is using and there’s another area where you’re not standing out. Now don’t get me wrong, these methods are fine and they will bring results, provided you weren’t using the same tired ads, but there are methods out there that are so cutting edge, even WITH tired and worn out ads, you’d have a better chance of making a few extra sales. But no, the herd mentality kicks in and the clones start marketing.

Look, do you want to actually make a difference in the world of affiliate marketing? Then get away from the herd mentality. Start thinking outside the box.
