Affiliate marketing contests…aren’t they fun? Well, for some people anyway. For many, they are nothing but frustrating reminders that they don’t have a clue how to promote an affiliate product. Well, if you’re one of those frustrated few, don’t fret. This article is going to show you how to win, or at least finish up near the top of every affiliate contest that you decide to enter.

As I am writing this, I just got word that I finished third in the Authority Blueprint X contest that I was just involved in. That’s not too bad considering I sent out all of two emails for this contest. That’s right…just two emails. The total amount of work I put into this was minimal and got me quite a few sales plus some nice contest bonuses. Okay, so what’s the secret? It’s simple.

First thing you have to do is get a copy of the product from the merchant. Don’t worry, if they want you to promote their product, they’ll send it to you. After you get it, you have to read it and review it. That’s right. You have to write a comprehensive review of the product. Be honest. The last product I reviewed I even mentioned some things about it that I thought were lacking.

After you’ve written your review, get it up on a blog. A Blogger one is good enough. You don’t have to knock yourself out getting your own domain. Just make sure the blog title and URL are as close to the product name as possible. This is what people are going to be looking up when they want info on the product.

Next step is to write articles on the subject related to the product itself. You want these articles to suggest that the product can be a solution to the problem. Do not make them sales pitches or they won’t be accepted by the directories. Make them informative articles. I suggest submitting them to Ezine Articles as this is the top directory on the Internet.

In the resource box of your article, point prospects to the review of the product. This is where they can then find out if the product is something that might be able to help them.

Now, here’s the key to making this really work. Offer some killer bonuses that fit with the product to get people to buy from you. For make money online products, something like free coaching for a week works wonders. If you have your own product that compliments the one you’re promoting, offer that as a bonus as well.

That’s it. It’s that simple. Follow the above tips and you’ll be finishing at the top of any affiliate contest that you enter.
