Affiliate Marketing Tips – My Ideal Marketplace Stats
No CommentsYou are in for a real treat with this article. I am about to reveal my ideal affiliate marketplace stats that I have kept very close to the vest for a very long time. These stats apply specifically to the Clickbank marketplace, which is probably the most popular on the Internet. If you follow these closely, you’ll give yourself the best chance of making the most affiliate sales possible. So pay attention.
Let’s start off with dollars per sale. I see a lot of products out there that are just dirt cheap. I have no use for them and here’s why. If you figure an average 1% conversion, let’s say you’re using pay per click to promote and your keywords cost 10 cents a piece. That means it’s going to cost you $10 to make one sale. So if you’re selling something that only pays you a $10 commission, all you’re doing is breaking even. If the product has no backend or upsell, what’s the point? I want to at least make double my costs, or $20. So keep this as a rule of thumb.
Next there is the referred percent. This tells you what percentage of sales are sold by affiliates. I want this number to be high but not so high that they’re doing all the work. Here’s why. You want it high to show that the product can be sold. If most sales come from affiliates, you know it can be. However, if the number is very high, like 98%, then that tells me that the merchant is a lazy slob and doesn’t do anything. I want my merchant to do some work. So for me, 85% is a good number. That’s my ideal stat. Shows the merchant is putting in some elbow grease.
Finally, there is gravity. This actually shows how well the product is selling. I want a product with a gravity of between 30 and 70 and here’s why. If a product has a very low gravity, like say 10, it shows me that the product may be hard to sell, as not many affiliates are having success with it. On the other hand, a gravity of 300 or more tells me that the product is saturated all over the place and may be difficult to sell. So I stay away from those products as well. For me, a gravity of 30 to 70 is just perfect. I find those the easiest.
If you keep these stats in mind, I think you will find that your affiliate sales will go a lot better.
To YOUR Success,
