Like it or not, presentation is everything. I know, it’s not fair. It should be what you know and not how you dress it up. The problem is, everything in this world, no matter what it is, is judged on its appearance. You go to look at a new home to purchase and the only thing you look at is how the home looks. The foundation could be falling apart, but it the home looks nice, you’ll buy it. Well, affiliate marketing is kind of like that, sad to say. It’s how you present the product that matters to the prospective buyer. This article is going to explain why this is so and how to put your best foot forward.

The simple reason why appearances matter so much is because quite honestly, when you’re buying a product, especially an info product, what do you really have to go on in making your decision? You have a fancy sales page and that’s about it. You’re pretty much buying on faith, unless you’ve gotten some referrals from a few friends who highly recommend the product. But how often does that happen? So in most cases, your ears are all you have to go on.

Okay, so how do you present your affiliate product in the best light? Well, I’ve found, from experience, that the most important thing is to have a site that looks nice. It doesn’t matter if it’s a blog, a sales page or whatever. If it looks like garbage, forget it. The prospect is going to close up your page quicker than you can say Bob’s your uncle. It doesn’t matter if the review on that page is the most well written thing in the whole world. Your prospect will never get around to reading it.

Unfair? Maybe. Nobody said that life was fair. However, if you’re going to compete with the other affiliates out there, you’re going to have to make sure that the site that you put up is one that prospects will look at and not run away from in droves. Of course, you also better have something to say as well.
