Affiliate Marketing Tips – Selling Products You Can Be Proud Of
No CommentsI don’t do a lot of affiliate marketing these days as most of what I sell is my own stuff. However, I still do a little bit and I am very selective about the products that I pick to sell. When I do promote something that isn’t my own, I am usually very successful when doing it. The question is, why? What do I do? Well, I’m going to share some of my secrets with you in this article. They should greatly help you with your search for a good product that has a decent chance to sell.
The first thing I don’t do is jump on something that just came out, at least not without doing some research on it first. Just because a product is new doesn’t mean that it’s any good…or for that matter that it’s going to sell. Research is key to determining the quality of the product. Question is, how do you do this research?
Well, in most cases, when a product is released, videos usually come out telling others about it. Watch the videos. Take a look at the presentation. See if you can get anything out of it. You can usually tell a lot about a product just by the way the creator presents it. Nitro Marketing Blueprint was a great example of this. Their videos were gold. I could tell, just from the videos, that the product was excellent. And it was.
The next thing to do, if you’re considering promoting the product, is to actually get it. I mean come on, how can you REALLY know if a product is any good unless you’ve tried it out? Now, a lot of product creators will actually let you have a preview copy, especially if you’re a well known marketer and they know you’re going to get them a lot of sales. But if not, you can always ask anyway. Either way, knowing the product inside out is critical to promoting it. Why?
The answer is in the ads and reviews you can write for the product. These will be far better than those of affiliates who are just sending out canned ads and not writing reviews at all.
Ultimately, you want to pick a product of quality. After all, your reputation is on the line here. If you promote a product that turns out to be garbage, in the long run, it’s going to hurt your credibility as a marketer.
So remember that the next time you decide to promote the flavor of the day.
That flavor may just turn out to be quite tasteless.
