I think the best things to write about are things you already know and are passionate about. For instants, if you are an avid fisherman and you know lures inside and out then your best bet is to write about lures. By the way, lures would be a keyword. The thing to keep in mind is an article is like a salesman. A well written article can sell for you night and day 7 days a week but you don't want to sell product in your article. What you want to do is enlighten and inform so people will think of you as an expert in your field, people love to buy from experts.
