Email marketing is very effective if done right. Ah, but how do you do it right? That’s the problem. Where do you learn? Who do you learn from? Well, I’ve got a few suggestions in that area that I think will help you a lot. I have found that learning from those who are actually doing it and doing it well is the best option. In this article, I’m going to give you three solid ways to do just that. Follow these tips and you should have no trouble turning yourself into an email marketing expert.

Probably the best way to learn email marketing is through a well written ebook by one of the masters. There are plenty of marketers out there who have made email marketing an art form. Simply go to Google and type in “email marketing ebook” and you will find plenty of them. Notice the names of the people writing them. If it’s somebody who is a big name, grab it. Chances are, the book is well written and will help you a ton.

Another great way to learn email marketing is to find blogs of marketers who specialize in it. There are so many marketing blogs out there it’s a joke. Find the best one. Use the same process as above but instead of typing in ebook, type in blog and I am sure you’ll get a whole list of them. Then, go to the top ones and read them. See what these authors have to share. Ask questions on the blog. I am sure they will be answered.

Finally, and this is really a killer way to learn email marketing, sign up with some newsletters of the gurus. Why is this so effective? Well, think about it. You’re going to be getting newsletters (emails) from these people. So, in essence, you are going to see EXACTLY how they run an email marketing campaign. You’ll see all their followups, how they make their sales pitches and so on. This is a great way to get into the trenches with the pros to see just what they do on a daily basis.

Truth is, there are no secrets out there. Everything that these people do is right out there in the open to see.

All you have to do is open your eyes and look.
