Home Based Business Tips – How Hard Is It Really To Make Money Online?
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: home base business, home based business tips, home business articles, starting a home businessNo CommentsI get a kick out of some of the sales pages I see. You’d think that all you had to do was bend over and drop your drawers and money will come falling into your pants legs, If it was that easy, everybody who ever hooked up an Internet connection and wanted to make a few bucks would be rich. Okay, it’s not that easy, but it’s not that hard either. So just how hard is it REALLY to make money online? This article is going to give you the straight scoop on the most myth propagated thing in existence.
Go take a walk to the corner store. Ask the manager there how hard it was to put his business together, to get a loan from the bank, to find suppliers, to build a reputation in the area, etc. He’ll probably tell you that it was a lot of hard work and that it was a good year or so before he saw any profit at all. Of course, ask any of the many businesses that closed up shop long before that and they’ll tell you it was even harder.
In comparison, making money on the Internet is a piece of cake. The problem is, it’s still not that easy and because the snake oil salesmen online want to make you think that all you have to do is push a button and the money will come pouring down from the skies, the myth that making money online is like falling off a log makes people think that it’s impossible when they see that it isn’t quite that simple.
The truth of the matter is, it’s somewhere in between what people tell you and what the real world is like, or the brick and mortar business world. The one advantage is that you don’t have to go into debt to start a business online. It is actually possible to do with almost no cash outlay at all. The key is advertising, and there are many advertising methods that work very well that are either low cost or free.
But the mind set of most people is all wrong. They expect to be making money yesterday and with no work put in. That’s why 95% of all Internet marketers fail. They realize that there is work involved and when they see how much work, they give up because it’s just not for them. They want to quit their 9 to 5 jobs so that they don’t have to work. Well, it doesn’t work that way. I’ve been doing this for over 4 years and it took me 2 of those years to reach a point where I was making a decent living online.
So while it’s a lot easier to make money online than it would be if you were opening up a candy store on the corner, it’s still no walk in the park. It takes time and commitment. If you’re not ready to put those two things into it, earning a living online may not be for you.
