We all want to be more productive with our home business. The more we can get done, at least in theory, the more money we can make. Unfortunately, for many of us, being productive is not an easy thing. There are many pitfalls which can take our productivity and flush it right down the toilet, not the least of which are the constant distractions that we face each day. So, this article, and the three tips it shares, SHOULD increase your productivity greatly.

First thing you need to do is know EXACTLY what you’re going to tackle that day. I don’t know about you, but I have a terrible memory. I don’t even remember what I had for dinner last night. So I have to write everything down. Just before you call it a night, crank out your scheduler and log in everything that you plan to do for the next day. Try to assign a number of hours to the task so you can get a decent idea of how long all this is going to take you. You’ll be surprised how much more productive just having this in front of you will make you.

Secondly, make sure you have all the right tools for the job that you need to do. For example, let’s say that part of your home business involves creating sales pages. Did you know that there are programs out there that are actual sales page templates where all you have to do is plug in the words and the template takes care of the design? This will make you so much more productive you can’t even imagine it. What is you create graphics? Having a program like Photoshop will work wonders for your productivity, especially if you purchase action scripts for certain things like ebook covers.

Finally, you want to work in an area where you’re not going to be disturbed. If you have kids, you know how they can be. They’ll bug you every second of the day if they can. You need to find an area to work in where they can’t bother you. Also, you want to work in an area away from the phone. Leave your cell upstairs if you have an office in the basement or wherever. You want to have total peace and quite, if you can, while you’re working. If you don’t think that will increase your productivity 100% you’re dead wrong.

Running a home business is hard enough, but by proper planning, having the right tools at your disposal and working in a secluded area away from all distractions, I have no doubt that you will get more work done in a day than you’ve ever gotten done before.
