Home Business Tips – Cheat Sheets
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: home base business, home based business tips, home business articles, starting a home businessNo CommentsYou’re running your home based business. You have a task to perform for it. The task itself is pretty involved and it requires a number of individual steps. You start out and mid way through, you forget something. You don’t know what it is, but you KNOW you forgot it. What do you do? Well, to avoid this happening to me, I make cheat sheets. There is no shame in admitting that your memory isn’t so great. This isn’t a race to see who can remember the most useless garbage. It’s a race to make money. So use your cheat sheets. This article is going to show you how.
First of all, a cheat sheet is nothing more than that…a list of tasks for a particular project. The list in itself is not detailed. It’s just a list. But each item on the list should be described in such a manner as to leave no doubt in your mind what has to be done. For each person, that’s going to be different. For example, for one of my tasks, my cheat sheet says “Write articles for Ezine Articles.” Now, I know what that means. I don’t have to have a big long explanation as to what the involves. But some people might have it broken down further into, “Write articles on acne, warts, moles and cold sores.” That way they know exactly what articles they’re writing.
Where do you keep these cheat sheets? Well, you can keep them just about anywhere. You can put them into Word or you can put them into an Excel spreadsheet. There are even some software programs out there, called mind mapping software, that you can get to handle it. Now, the example I gave you above is a simple one. But what if your task is designing a web site? There is a lot of work involved in such a project and the last thing you want to do is leave any of it to your memory.
Cheat sheets are great because they take a lot of the thought out of your day. The only thing you have to really concentrate on is the task at hand and not the actual steps involved in completing that task.
Trust me, it makes life a lot easier.
