Home Business Tips – Did You Put the Bomb in the Transmitter?
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: home base business, home based business tips, home business articles, starting a home businessNo CommentsDid you ever see that WKRP episode where they got the bomb threat and they evacuated the station, sent Johnny and Venus to the transmitter, only to find out that the bomb was actually planted at the transmitter? It was a classic WKRP episode and quite funny. But trust me, there is nothing funny about putting a bomb in YOUR transmitter. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Well, this is going to get a little deep, so try to stay with me now.
Home business owners are always looking for problems. They’re almost convinced that somewhere around the corner there is disaster waiting to strike. Now don’t get me wrong, sometimes there are problems that we have to deal with. I deal with them almost everyday, whether it’s a down website or a customer complaint because they didn’t get their product. But one thing I don’t do is look for more trouble. If I get one person saying that they couldn’t download a product, I don’t automatically assume everybody is having that problem.
If I were to do that, I’d probably start looking into my delivery system. I’d poke around and try to fix something that wasn’t broken. Ultimately, I could end up causing more harm by actually breaking my delivery system. This is similar to putting the bomb in your transmitter when one didn’t exist in your home field of operations. Admit it, how many times have you poked your nose into something that you ultimately wished you had left alone? I have had my share of these and have learned from them.
Your home business SHOULD be built on a solid foundation. Notice I used the word SHOULD. If it isn’t, you’ve got more problems than just a potential bomb in your transmitter. A firecracker could probably bring your business to its knees. An example of this is people who relied on made for AdSense sites years ago only to find them all worthless when Google dropped their own bomb on them. But a solid foundation can survive almost anything…unless you self destruct yourself.
So please…think before you react to anything that is negative in your business. Sometimes it’s just a slight glitch and an isolated incident.
