Home Business Tips – Is Your PC Near Death?

You know, it’s funny. I’ve been in this business for over five years. I’ve seen home business owners worry about everything from how their web page looks to how many payment processors they can acquire so that they can collect money from as many sources as possible. And yet, so few of them give their PC a second thought and then when the thing dies and their business is in ruins they say to themselves, “Why didn’t I take care of my computer?” Well, if this is you, then you might want to read this article. It just may save your business.

It’s a dangerous world out there. I remember one day, I was surfing some sites and got hit by a Trojan. It was shortly after that when my PC died and I had to have the OS reinstalled. It was not a pretty picture. The funny thing is, my PC was so far gone before that Trojan hit that if I had taken care of it properly, the Trojan itself wouldn’t have wrecked it to the point where I had to start from scratch. Today, I’ve learned my lesson and do some little PC fixes to keep things running right. They’re not hard, but I’ll get into that later.

Aside from that, let’s face it, nothing is 100%. No matter what you do to take care of your PC, you’re going to have problems. That is why it is CRITICAL that you have a backup, and not just one. This is what I recommend. First, you should have a backup hard drive. They’re not expensive these days as storage is very cheap. That way, if anything happens to your PC, you at least have all your data. But in addition to that, I’d get a backup service where your data is stored online. This way you know you’re really protected.

There are a number of other things you can do. In my signature you’ll find a review of the best book I have ever gotten in my life. It’s written by a Max Piner and the man is a genius when it comes to keeping your PC running like new. You might want to read what I have to say about it and Max.

Is YOUR PC near death? If so, you might want to save it before you have to put it on life support.
