Home Business Tips – Keeping Track of Your Subscriptions
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: home base business, home based business tips, home business articles, starting a home businessNo CommentsWhat you are about to read is a true story. Hopefully you will learn from it. I can’t even begin to tell you what a nightmare this was for me. I assure you, if you run a home business, you are going to run into the same kind of problems. I know you have no idea what I am talking about. Well, don’t worry, after you are done reading this, I am sure you are going to say to yourself, yeah I went through that myself. Been there, done that, have the T-shirt. Well, here is what you do about it. Hope it helps.
If you have a home business, you have many expenses. Maybe you have Web hosting, advertising sources, and whatever else you might be into. Well, I have several products that I get on a monthly basis that I get billed for. These products get billed on my credit card. Now, you do realize that you have to update your credit card every so often. As least you should know that. Well, I try to keep very careful track of this. I go through all my subscriptions, and make sure that each one has an up-to-date credit card. Well, in one particular case, I couldn’t be careful enough.
To make a long story short, it seems the one company where I had three of my products, they decided that I had to update the credit card for each one of them separately. I was under the impression that I can just update my credit card once in the system and that would take care of all three subscriptions. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Turns out, after I updated the credit card information for the first product, when it came time to bill a second product, my credit card was denied because it was not updated for that product. You can imagine the shock and the look on my face.
Anyway, to make this long story even shorter, I had customer support walk me through every single one of my products. It was annoying to say the least, but I finally got all of them updated. You’re probably wondering why I’m telling you this. The reason is simple. If you have multiple products under one company it may be possible that you will have to update your credit card for each product separately. Just because it’s the same company, doesn’t mean that one update will take care of them all.
This was an annoying lesson for me, but one that I had to learn. I assure you that in the future, when it comes time to update my credit cards, I will make sure that when I get to this company, I will update each of my products separately. Hopefully the day will come, when they change these stupid rules. Until then, I’ll just have to put up with them.
Hopefully, you have also learned something from this.
