This article was inspired by a Warrior Forum post that I read today. The OP was complaining about an email that he got because the subject line offended him. He ended up opting out of the list. Now, don’t get me wrong, he has every right to complain if something offends him and every right to opt out if he so chooses. My point is, these are unproductive activities (the complaining part anyway) and add nothing to the bottom line of your business.

But there is more to it than just that. See, I read the piece that the OP was complaining about and I have to say, it was very well written and very informative. Most importantly, I learned something from it that is going to help me with MY business. That’s the key. By applying the information that I got out of the piece, I will make more money. This person has chosen to ignore good advice simply because of the way it was presented. To me, that’s cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Running a home business is NOT an easy thing to do. There are many areas where you can get tripped up, from the actual conception of the business itself all the way to promotion and product delivery. The things that could go wrong would stun a team of horses in their tracks. This is part of the reason why so many home business owners fail. They aren’t prepared for all the pitfalls along the way. And if you’re going to cut yourself off from quality information, just because it was presented in a way that you found objectionable, then you are doing your business a disservice.

For what it’s worth, I found the piece mildly objectionable at worst. Certainly there was nothing in it that would make me unsubscribe and lose out on so much quality info that would help my business. But that’s just me. I prefer to do less complaining and more doing.

That’s how you make MORE money. And as far as I’m concerned…that’s the ONLY thing that matters.
