If, as a home business owner, you think that everything is going to go smoothly, you are living on some fantasy planet. Sometimes things don’t quite work out the way you want. I have found this out many times in my six plus years of running my own home based business. The key to surviving these bumps in the road is learning how to make lemonade out of lemons. In this article, I’m going to show you just how to do that. I think you will find these tips helpful.

What you need to understand is that whenever you’re hit with a problem, it is quite likely that other home business owners are being hit by that same problem. Changes in laws and regulations, a service that goes out of business, or even just a wide spread connection problem are things that are going to be felt by more than one person. So, the way to make lemonade out of this situation is to get together with other home business owners having the same problem. You’ll find these folks at many home business forums. Once you get there, brainstorm with these people. Figure out a way around the problem.

Another thing you can do is find a solution on your own and market the solution to other home business owners. I can’t tell you how many times I have done this. Actually, some of the best product ideas come from problems. Think about the nature of most businesses. What do they do? They provide solutions to problems. This is one of the reasons why I tell people that they MUST make sure the product or service they want to sell actually fulfills a need. You can’t sell things that people don’t want. And let me tell you, if another home business owner has a problem that YOU have a solution for…THEY will want it…BADLY.

Bottom line is this. You can sit there and moan about all the things that are going wrong or you can look at these problems as an opportunity to turn lemons into lemonade.
