What I am about to share with you is a true story. I hope it will be of some inspiration to you in the process. Many home business owners go about their business all backwards. They dive into something that THEN make a plan…if they even do that. Many people have no plan and it’s certain disaster for their business. Anyway, the following story should get the point across.

I received an email one day from somebody asking me what product of mine do I recommend. That’s all that was in it. So, I wrote back and told this person that I needed more info. I asked what they wanted to do. Their answer was that they just wanted to make money online. So I wrote back and asked how. This kept on going, with me asking more questions, until finally the person wrote back…I don’t know. I don’t have a plan. They finally realized that they were going about this all wrong.

So let me ask you a question. Do YOU have a plan? Are you running your business with a definite goal? For that matter, do you even HAVE a real business or are you just a member of one of those biz ops hoping and praying that you can get SOMEBODY to join under you? Like it or not, THAT is not a business UNLESS you have a specific plan in place. How are you going to recruit these people? What can YOU offer that nobody else can? What’s your USP? How do YOU stand out?

Many people, when I ask them this, they just sit their scratching their head. They have no idea. Instead, they just keep buying one how to book after another…hoping that the magic answer will fall into their lap. Trust me when I say this…there IS no magic answer. Running a home business takes planning and a lot of hard work. Many folks don’t want to believe that, and instead they buy into the “push button” solution. If only it were that simple.

So please, do me and yourself a favor. Stop buying stuff. Sit down with a piece of paper and make a business plan. Have a clear goal and destination in mind. If you do, you’ll see that your success will come a lot sooner…and last a lot longer.
