Home Business Tips – The Biggest Benefit of Working From Home

A lot of people ask what the biggest benefit is of working from home. Well, I’m going to tell you. It’s not having to rely on an automobile.

I own a Honda CRV. The year is 2004. Just recently, the emissions light came on. I brought it to a Honda expert to get fixed. Well, it’s been there for a week and they still have no idea what’s wrong with the light. If they don’t get it to go off, I won’t pass inspection in October. In the meantime, I haven’t had a car for a week. Now imagine if I had a regular job outside of the home. I’d never be able to go to work unless I sunk $20,000 into a new car. So, in my opinion, the biggest benefit to working from home is that you don’t need a car.

Okay, you’re probably thinking to yourself, “That’s really not enough of an incentive for me to want to start my own home business.” Okay, fair enough. Maybe THIS will be incentive enough for you.

When you have your own home business, you don’t have to put up with a boss screaming at you all day long. You don’t have to deal with the long commute to the office. You don’t have to hope and pray that every year, when review time comes up, you get a raise. Heck, you don’t have to worry that, when the economy goes bad, you end up losing your job. And, you don’t have to spend money on gas, lunches, work clothes and a whole lot of other things that you don’t need for a home business.

Add to that the fact that you can get up WHEN you like and work WHEN you like and you have a virtual heaven in your living room, or wherever it is you have your computer. You can run out to the store when you like and if, for some reason, you have to go to the doctor or have some other appointment, you can come and go when you please and don’t have to worry about getting time off from your job.

In short, you don’t have to put up with all the BS that people who have 9 to 5 jobs. Look, I’ve been on both sides of this equation. I’ve worked a 9 to 5 and I now have my own home business for over 7 years. I wouldn’t go back to working for a boss if you put a gun to my head and threatened to pull the trigger. Yes, I’d rather be dead.

All kidding aside, once you get up and running and know what you’re doing, there is NOTHING like running your own home business…nothing.
