Home Business Tips – What is Your Problem?
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: home base business, home based business tips, home business articles, starting a home businessNo CommentsAs a home business owner, I’m just going to flat come out and ask you. What is your problem? Do you even know? If you don’t, then you are in more serious trouble than you can possibly imagine. See, many home business owners who are failing with their business don’t have the slightest clue what’s wrong. And if you don’t know what’s wrong, you don’t know what to fix. So, in this article, I’m going to help you get to the bottom of what your problem MAY be. No promises, but hopefully we’ll make some progress.
First thing you have to do, in order to figure out where you’re going wrong, is to take stock of your whole operation. That begins with the actual product or service you’re selling. Do people even need it? If you aren’t sure (don’t guess) then that’s the first thing you have to do…find out. How? Go to forums. Take surveys. Check keyword tools to see what it is that people are looking up in regard to what you’re trying to sell. If nobody is looking for it, there is a good chance that nobody wants it.
After you’ve gone through the demand issue, the next thing you have to do is look at the actual presentation of your offer. Is the sales page professionally written? Does it push all the hot buttons of the prospect? Do you even know? If you can’t tell, get a professional copywriter to look at it. Don’t guess. A poor sales page can literally kill your business.
Next thing you want to do is look at how you’re actually getting your product out there. How are you marketing it? Are the people who need to see your ads seeing them or are they just floating around in cyberspace? Do you even know? Are you tracking your ads with some kind of a hit counter? If you don’t know where your traffic is coming from, assuming you’re getting any at all, how can you possibly know if your advertising efforts are doing any good?
What about the price of your product or service? If there are competitors, is your product or service competitively priced? If what you’re selling normally sells for $20 and you’re trying to get $200 for it, you better have some darn good reasons for why somebody would want to pay ten times the normal price. Slight differences are fine, as long as you have a quality product.
What I’ve listed above is just the tip of the iceberg, but it’s enough to get you started. If your business is failing, without knowing why, you’re just groping around in the dark.
And that is a sure ticket to disaster.
To YOUR Success,
