This article is going to finally get down to the crux of the problem when it comes to getting a quality training in the area of home business startup. See, the truth is, unlike organized disciplines like medicine, where you’ve got the AMA and formal education, Internet home business training is totally unsupervised. In other words, you don’t know the good info from the bad info. That’s the truth, and it’s the reason why so many people fail with their business. So okay, what’s the solution? What CAN you do to have a shot at starting and running a successful home business?

Let’s start with what’s available out there. You have ebooks, membership sites and all kinds of “courses” that supposedly “teach” you how to start and run a home business. But all of these are created by individuals who have absolutely NO certification in this area. I’m not saying that none of them are successful. But the problem is, you don’t know who is and who isn’t, or for that matter, even if they are, whether or not the info that they are selling you is worth anything. Agree so far?

Okay, so obviously anything you purchase online has a certain risk to it. But…there is a way to minimize this risk. See, believe it or not, rare as they are, there are some folks online who write unbiased reviews of some of these products. Know how you can tell they’re unbiased? They’re not being directed to an affiliate link so that they can make a few bucks. These are the reviews that you want to read and pay attention to. No, they’re not fool proof, but they are a good start.

Another thing you want to do is go to forums where people who have bought these products talk about them openly. In some forums, such as the Warrior Forum, they have a section that is strictly for product reviews. Here, people ask about products and members who have used them give their opinion. Since no affiliate links are allowed, you’re quite likely to get some honest feedback here.

Is it perfect? No, it’s not. But it’s a lot better than relying on the hype that you find on most of these sales pages.

And it’s a great place to start.
