I remember when blogs first came out. I honestly thought that they were going to be a fad. Boy was I dead wrong. Blogs are probably one of the best means for marketing on the Internet today. The problem is, a lot of people don’t really know how to get the most out of their blogs and other marketers’ blogs. Well, this article is going to give you bloggers some tips that you may find useful. Hopefully, if you implement some of these strategies, you’ll be on your way to making even more money online than you are now.

The first tip has to do with making the most out of your own blog. A lot of marketers will simply create a blog, put up a few articles, maybe a link to an affiliate product or two and that’s it. They’ve done their minimum. Well, it’s going to take more than the minimum to make your blog pull in the big bucks. So, the first thing you should do, and this is the easiest thing to do, is put up an opt in box so you can collect email addresses. Offer them a free report or newsletter that relates to the topic of your blog. Trust me, you’ll get plenty of subscribers if you offer them something of value.

The next tip has to do with making the most out of other marketers’ blogs. That’s right, blogs that are not your own. How can you do this? Very simple. Many marketers have blogs that allow comments. Simply go to one of these blogs, post a comment that actually has some meaning and include a link in your signature back to your own blog. The important thing is to make sure your comment to whatever the topic is, is very good. I’m not talking about one or two sentences. I’m talking about a couple of paragraphs. Trust me, you’ll get a nice following this way if people think you have something important to say.

Finally, there is the promotion of your blog. So many marketers are lazy about this. They simply make their blog post and then ping the blog directories. This isn’t enough. Try writing some articles, submitting them to article directories and including a link to your blog in the resource box. You’ll be surprised how many extra visitors doing this will bring in. Just one article a day is all you need to greatly increase your readership.

Blogs are great tools for marketing if they’re used correctly. Hopefully, these tips will get you going in the right direction.
