Internet Marketing Tips – 3 Surefire Video Marketing Tips

Like it or not, video marketing is big and it’s here to stay. Look at some of the major launches of late and you will see that video is a HUGE part of the promotion. So, if you want to get your share of the sales pie, you’re going to have to make the most of this powerful medium. Problem most people have with video is that they don’t really know how to use it effectively. Not a problem. This article is going to share a few surefire video marketing tips that will have you competing with the best of them.

Tip number one is to make a script. That’s right. Don’t wing your video. Unless you are incredibly talented, it is very hard to speak off the cuff and sound convincing. By writing a script, you avoid many of the pitfalls of video production, such as all the ums and ahs that come with doing things off the top of your head. These videos come off as amateurish and ultimately turn the prospects away. That is the very last thing you want. So please do yourself a favor. Take the time to script and rehearse what you’re going to say.

Tip number two is to make sure that you have the proper lighting for your video. You don’t want your video to look like you filmed it in a dungeon. Lighting is one of the most important things in terms of the quality of your video. Too little lighting and the video looks very dull and unprofessional. Also, there are certain kinds of lighting that are better than others. Pure white light is probably the worst offender as far as cheap looking videos. Soft blue light is probably best.

Tip number three is to make your videos short and to the point. People don’t want to sit through long presentations. A three to five minute video should be more than enough to get your point across. You don’t want to make it too short, unless of course what you’re making is a “teaser” video. But that’s a whole different medium that is usually used for creating buzz on a product that’s not going to be released for some time. For those, a 30 second video is probably going to be too long.

These few tips will greatly improve the quality of the videos that you create and ultimately bring you more sales in the process.
