Internet Marketing Tips – 4 Must Do’s For Hiring Ghostwriters
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: make easy money online, make money free online, make money online for free, make money online freeNo CommentsLots of times, as marketers, we find that we either don’t want to bother doing the writing for our products, articles, ads or whatever, or we don’t have the skill to do it. When that happens, we have only one choice, and that’s to outsource the work and hire a ghostwriter. But when we do that, we better have a good solid game plan behind us. This article is going to share four critical tips for hiring ghostwriters. Ignore these at your own risk.
The first tip is to know what you want. This might sound obvious, but you’d be surprised how many people go looking for a writer and don’t have a clue what they’re looking for or why. In order to prevent this from happening, you need to sit down and write out exactly what it is you want. If you’re looking for somebody to write you a book on acne, write down everything that you want covered in that book so that nothing is left to chance. That way you won’t have to go to the writer and say, “But you forgot to add this.” This will save a lot of rewriting time down the road.
The second tip is to be very clear with the ghostwriter as to what your terms are. Tell them what you are willing to pay, when you need the product by and what you expect as far as quality. If the writer gives you counter terms that you aren’t comfortable with, such as a higher price, then you simply need to decide if you’re willing to pay for the service. If not, move on. This will certainly save a lot of time in not having to wait until you get your bill and you’re shocked by the cost. Make all terms known up front.
The third tip is to not always go with the lowest bid for your project. I know you’re looking to save money, but the saying that you get what you pay for is so true. Many times, writers will offer a low bid because they are either just starting out or can’t get many customers because their writing is poor. Ask for some samples before you hire the person.
Finally, there has to be a level of trust established between the two of you. That means you have to know that you can trust him to provide the work and he can trust you to pay. The best way to establish this trust is to get it in writing. This is still business. If you get it in writing, there can be no mistake as to what is expected by both sides.
If you follow these four basic tips, you should have no problem hiring a ghostwriter who will get the job done for you and get it done right.
