Internet Marketing Tips – A Little Mystery Helps
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: internet marketing strategies, internet marketing strategy, strategic internet marketingNo CommentsKnow what? Internet marketers could learn a lot from TV? Have you watched the season premiere of Lost? If not, you should. Talk about mystery. That show has it in spades. So what does this have to do with Internet marketing? Well, by adding a little mystery to your campaigns, you just might get prospects more interested in what you’re promoting. How do you do this? This article explains.
Let’s start with articles since this is such a great way of generating traffic to your site. Let’s say you have a blog and you’ve decided to put articles up on it in order to attract prospects. But you want them to come back for more. How do you do this? Well, a great way is to start an article series where one article leaves off with a cliff hanger. In other words, after going into detail on whatever solution to a problem you’re writing about, you end the article with something like this…
“But that’s only one way to treat this problem. Did you know that there is a solution that dates back to the early 1700s that has literally been lost to the world? In my next article in this series, I’m going to reveal that solution for the very first time in over 300 years.”
Okay, it’s a little over the top but you get the idea. This is going to have people wondering what this solution is and they’re going to look to see when that article is posted.
But why keep them wondering indefinitely? Why not have, under the article, a little blurb that reads something like this?
“Want to be notified when the next segment is posted? Sign up for my newsletter below and you’ll be notified as soon as the article is published.”
This is a great way to build your list in the process.
Let’s now take pay per click. How can we inject a little mystery into a pay per click ad? Well, probably the best way is to word your ad in the form of a question. You might try something like this…
“Want To Know The Best Way To Treat (insert problem here)?”
This adds a little bit of mystery. Prospects are going to be curious to know what that best way is. Curiosity is one thing that gets the better of all of us. It is almost unavoidable. Play on that curiosity. Tap into that need to know what they secret is.
Lost is the master of doing this. With all the back and forth and twisting story lines, you can’t help but want to know what’s coming next.
Yes, Internet marketers could learn an awful lot from TV.
To YOUR Success,
