Wouldn’t it be great if everything just stayed the same? That way, once we learned a marketing technique and discovered that it worked all we’d have to do is just continue using it, day after day. The problem with this dream, and that’s what it is, is that nothing stays the same. The only constant in life is change. Get used to it. So what do we do when our favorite marketing method no longer works or simply vanishes off the face of the planet? This article will give you some common sense ways to not only adapt, but keep up with change.

Let’s start with keeping up with change. This is the easy part. The reason is because news spreads really fast on the Internet. Most people, as soon as they hear the latest, they can’t wait to gossip about it. Usually the first place they’ll head is either to a forum or discussion group. So you will probably want to hang out at these places religiously. You’re likely to find at least one thread a day about the latest change at Google or Squidoo or wherever.

You may also want to check the search engines. If you’re into Adwords advertising, as an example, you might want to type in something like “Latest Adwords news” or “Latest Adwords changes”. Of course you may just want to go directly to the Adwords site. Any announcements are going to turn up there first. For that matter, any program that you’re involved in is going to announce any changes directly at their site. So check your members’ area regularly.

Dealing with change is not quite as easy as keeping up with it. Each event is going to require a different course of action. For example, when Google put a ban on made for Adsense sites, site owners had to make some major changes in their web sites in order to keep their Adsense accounts. They had to put some real live content on their sites and had to stop driving traffic using arbitrage. This really destroyed a lot of incomes online. Those who adapted continued to be profitable. Those who didn’t went out of business. It was that simple.

Going back to those same forums and discussion groups, many of those same people reporting the changes will also have some solutions. It not, don’t panic. The senior members might have the answers you’re looking for and if not, they’re going to be working on them. Remember, you’re not the only one doing these things, so somebody is going to find a solution.

The bottom line is this. You can dig your heels in and say that you’re not going to accept whatever has gone down, or you can work with others to find a way to deal with these changes. Those who do this are the ones who will continue to be successful.
