Internet Marketing Tips – Are Other Marketers Hard to Sell To?
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: internet marketing strategies, internet marketing strategy, strategic internet marketingNo CommentsEvery once in a while, I get an interesting question come up at the Warrior Forum where I like to hang out a lot. This question came up just today. “Are other Internet marketers harder to sell to?” I had to think about this for a few minutes before I came up with an answer. In this article, I’m going to share that answer with you. You may or may not agree. But I think you will at least find this interesting reading.
First of all, generalizations will kill you. To say that any one group is easier or harder to sell to than another group is going to get you into a lot of trouble. Truth is, you can’t generalize people…no matter who they are. See, Internet marketers are still individuals. Some are seasoned pros and some are brand new. To lump them into the same category does both groups a big disservice.
Let’s take those seasoned pros who most would think are harder to sell to. Well, if you’re selling snake oil, most likely they will be harder to sell to. A seasoned pro can smell a con a mile away. But what do you think will happen if you are a product creator who comes out with a solid line of products that really get the job done? A pro will spot this and probably become a customer of yours, not only once…but many times over. I have some customers still buying from me for over four years now.
On the other hand, a new Internet marketer, who maybe doesn’t have a lot of knowledge, is going to big hungry for that knowledge and will be a lot easier to sell to…usually. However, there is still the other side of the coin. A new marketer is going to become a little skeptical after the first time they’re burned. When that happens, they’re going to become a little cautious and might not buy from you until they’ve done some checking up on you. In that respect, they can become even more critical than the seasoned pro and a harder sell.
Point is, you can’t generalize. Some marketers will be hard to sell to and some will be very easy. Each person is an individual and THAT is what you have to remember. Trying to classify one group of persons is a ticket to disaster. What YOU as a marketer should do is concentrate on finding or creating the best products possible and promote them ethically. If you do that, you shouldn’t have problems selling to anybody.
