Internet Marketing Tips – Are You Open to Another Point of View?

This article is going to be a little uncomfortable for some people. The reason is because it’s going to make them think long and hard about what they’re really open to. Most marketers, when asked the question if they’re open to other points of view, will say that they are. But if push came to shove, would they really be open to another point of view? I’m going to test your point of view quotient with a little test. Ready? Great…let’s begin.

Here is your hypothetical situation. You’re an up and coming Internet marketer. You’re just first starting to make some money online. Not much, but you’re making about $3,000 a month and it’s enough to pay the bills. Okay, here is your question. Would you be open to doing all your Internet marketing for charity and giving all your money to a charity of your choice? In return, they would provide you with a place to live and enough food to eat. Luxuries? No…they’re out. Would you be open to this?

How many people would be? I know I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t even entertain the thought for a second. And yes, while I know this is a very extreme example, it proves a point. We all have our limits as to how far we’ll go and what we’ll do to sacrifice OUR point of view. I have priorities and they’re not likely to change much until I get much older. Maybe after I’m retired and have so much money in the bank that I don’t need anymore, then maybe I’ll consider working fro charity. But not now.

And you know what? There is nothing wrong with this…sometimes. See, you have to learn to recognize when another point of view just might be the thing you need to take your business to the next level. As a perfect example, consider this.

You’re making that $3,000 a month, but you’re making it doing all the work yourself. What if somebody said to you that by outsourcing certain things you could double your income? Would you do it? Now, before you answer, consider what this involves.

For starters, it means an increase in your expenses. For another, it means that you have to now start trusting other people with your business. For some of us, that’s just way out of our comfort zone. We want to be hands on with everything. So, if you were given that option, would you take it? Or would you continue doing things YOUR way?

Again, nothing wrong with that. However, understand that there are only so many hours in the day and there is only so much you can do yourself. So if you want to expand your business, you have to start changing the way you think about running it.

So, take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself this question.

Am I really open to another point of view?

    The answer might surprise you.
