Internet Marketing Tips – Are Your Ads Tightly Focused?

Internet marketing is a skill, and not an easy one to master. I’ll be the first to admit it. It took me months before I discovered the secret to tightly focusing my ads so that they hit just the right hot buttons. This principal can be applied to all kinds of ads from solo ezine ads to autoresponder followups to your list. I have no doubt that after reading this article, you’ll be able to more tightly focus your ads as well. The following example should clearly illustrate this point.

Here’s an example of an ad that is NOT tightly focused. For the sake of brevity and space, I will keep these examples short.

“Are you not quite yourself? Do you want to feel like you did when you were younger? Not sure where to go for help? My new book. “Highway To Health” will provide you with some solid tips for feeling good again. You won’t have to worry about waking up each day with whatever problem you’re now facing. You can pick up a copy by going to the link below.”

Okay, the ad isn’t terrible. It may even get some people, who aren’t quite feeling right, to check out your site. You might even make a few sales along the way too. But we can much better than the above by more tightly focusing the ad on specific things. Read the improved the example and compare it to the one above and you’ll see what I mean.

“Are you not quite yourself? Are you suffering from arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, or any one of hundreds of debilitating diseases? Do you want to feel like you did when you were 18? My new book, “Highway To Health” will give you solid treatments for arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure and 52 other terrible diseases and conditions. You can pick up your exclusive copy, that I am only making available to those who respond to this ad, by sending an email to…and I will then send you a special download link. Don’t allow yourself to suffer one more day.”

See what we’ve done with the tightly focused ad? We’ve mentioned specific diseases and conditions, we didn’t just ask if the want to feel younger but if they want to feel like they are 18 again. We mentioned that there are 52 other diseases and conditions that can be treated in this book. We made it even more special to get by saying you can only get it by responding to this email. By doing all this, we zero in on our prospect with specifics that makes the prospect more likely to pick up a copy.

I hope by showing specific examples, you better understood what I meant by tightly focused ads.

Now get out there and do it!
