Internet Marketing Tips – Big Launch Or Little Products?

A question I get asked a lot is if it’s better to go with a big product launch or go with a few smaller products. There are advantages and disadvantages to each. I will go over them in this article. However, before I do, I just want to point out that there is no right or wrong answer to this. Ultimately, it’s going to boil down to what you feel is best for you. Hopefully, the information in this article will help you to make an informed decision.

Let’s start with the big product launch and the advantages of one. For starters, a big product launch usually comes with a big price tag to go along with it. This is great for getting launch partners to hop on board. The big boys love these big launches and if they have huge lists, they know they can make a real killing with them. So you’re likely to get a lot of people to promote your product for you.

Another advantage of the big product launch is that because of the big price tag itself, you’re going to make a lot more money faster than with a number of little products. Some big launches have grossed hundreds of thousands of dollars in a matter of days. Sometimes one big product launch is enough to keep you set for the whole year.

The big disadvantage of a big launch is that creating a product of this size is a lot of work. Sometimes it can take months to put something like this together. And of course, there’s never any guarantee that the product is going to sell. So you could be putting in all that work into something that will end up laying a big goose egg. Plus, you’re going to be alienating a lot of potential customers who just can’t afford the big price tag.

With many little products, such as $7 ebooks, these are much easier to sell. So the volume that you will do with these products will probably be much greater than the volume you will do with a big launch. It may not come up to the dollars of a big launch but the amount of work that you will have to put into these smaller products will be minimal in comparison to the large scale products.

The problem with little products is that it’s hard to get affiliates to promote them because there isn’t enough money in it for most people. So with smaller products, you’re pretty much going to be on your own with the exception of a few smaller affiliates who will probably account for a few sales each.

As I said, there is no right or wrong, good or bad. It all comes down to what you ultimately want to do. I’ve presented you with the pros and cons of each. Hopefully, these facts will help you to make an informed decision.
