Internet Marketing Tips – Can Marketing Methods Stop Working?
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: internet marketing strategies, internet marketing strategy, strategic internet marketingNo CommentsI find the most interesting questions asked at the Warrior Forum. Today’s hot question was essentially this. If a particular marketing method is used by a great number of people, won’t it become ineffective? Well, it depends. I know, you think that’s a cop out answer. No, it’s not. It’s the truth. But don’t worry, I’m going to explain it in detail so you understand why I say that. So sit back and get the real truth about marketing methods.
I can’t even begin to count the variety of ways there are to promote products online. Some are good, some not so good. But let’s, for now anyway, concentrate on the ones that are good. Do you think it is possible that some of these methods could someday stop working? I mean things do change. Nobody ever thought that TV would replace radio. And the thought of man ever flying was a joke. So anything is possible. But barring anything unusual, again, it all depends on what the method is as to whether or not it will stand the test of time.
If the marketing method is something that is black hat or a shortcut created to circumvent some system, then most likely its life span is going to be limited. The reason is simple. These methods are usually rendered ineffective from one of two events. The first is the Internet itself adjusting to these methods and ruling them illegal, thus eliminating anybody who uses them from the marketplace. The other event is the method being used by so many people that nobody gets an advantage, thus leveling the playing field. However, in most cases, the method is simple squashed by the Internet itself.
If the marketing method, however, is something sound, like article marketing, then the chances of it becoming ineffective someday are slim to none. The reasons are simple. For one thing, writing articles requires skill and not everybody has the same skill. So even if everybody were to use it, not everybody’s articles would have the same effect because they’d all be written on a different skill level. Those who write better will do better. It’s kind of like the survival of the fittest.
So the answer to the question is, it depends. I don’t worry about the methods that I use becoming obsolete because they depend on my skill as a marketer. And as long as that variable exists, I know that I’m going to do just fine.
