This article is more of a rant than anything else, but I think it’s a rant that many should pay attention to, otherwise, the future of Internet marketing may not be as secure as you think it is. See, there is a very ugly side to Internet marketing that gives marketers a bad rap. So if you don’t want your business to go down the tubes, this article will give you three simple things NOT to do so that you’re still in business tomorrow.

The first thing you should never do is write sales copy that is misleading or just downright dishonest. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve purchased a product only to find out that the product did nothing that the sales copy said it would do. How stupid do these product creators think we are? Do they really believe that most people won’t bother to return the piece of garbage that they passed off as a product? If more of us were to say no to dishonest sales pages, maybe more of these people would clean up THEIR act. So whatever you do, don’t write dishonest sales copy. It WILL come back to haunt you…eventually.

The second thing you should never do is ignore support requests from people. I can’t believe how many products I have purchased from others and when I email them or go to their support desk for help, I either get no response at all, or it takes them weeks to get back to me. Why is it that so many people feel that after the sale, support doesn’t matter? What, they have your money so now as far as they’re concerned you can fall off the face of the planet? I have no tolerance for these people and you shouldn’t either. And most of all, don’t add to the problem. It WILL come back to haunt you…eventually.

The final thing I want to go over in this article that you should never do is be nasty to your customers or prospective customers. Okay, maybe once in a while you get a question that you think is a little silly. That doesn’t give you the right to send back nasty emails to them telling them how stupid they are. Do you REALLY think these people are going to buy anything from you? I mean, if nothing else, use a little common sense in this matter. If you want to make a sale, at least be civil. Okay, don’t be rude and nasty. It will come back to haunt you…eventually.

It is my hope that most people reading this will take my advice…eventually.

    To YOUR Success,
