    Internet Marketing Tips – Dangle a Carrot – Build a List

    Okay marketers, listen up. Want to build a killer list that will make you an income for years and years to come? All you need to do is dangle the right carrot in front of their eyes and your prospects will come flocking to you by the thousands. This article is going to explain JUST how to do that. Hopefully, by the time you’re done reading this article, you’ll be on your way to building a killer list in no time flat.

    First thing you have to do, and this is what trips most marketers up, is identify your market. Who are you trying to get into your list? What are they looking for? Don’t know? Then how can you sell them anything? Finding your market is easy. Look up the keywords that THEY would look up when trying to solve a problem. Then use those keywords to find related forums where these people hang out and talk about their problems. Trust me, people LOVE to talk. You’ll get an earful and discover EXACTLY what they’re after.

    Next thing you have to do is figure out what info they’re after they can find for free EASILY (that’s the key) and what info they would have to dig very hard for. Then what you do is put together a small report with ALL the free stuff BUT…also put in some of the stuff that they’d have to turn over rocks to find. This shows them that you’re honestly trying to help them out. Once they see what you’re offering for free, they’ll be jumping onto your list so fast you’ll have to beat them off with a stick.

    The key to keeping them on the list is to continuously dangle those carrots. You want to give them as much info as you can. Pile it on. See, too many marketers suffer from a scarcity mentality. They think that if they give away too much information that they won’t have anything left to sell. Let me tell you something. You can’t POSSIBLY give away all the info that there is in the world to give. There is just way too much of it. Plus, things are always changing. So there is always more to give away. Just keep a little bit back that your list will have to pay for. Trust me, they will.

    It’s not rocket science. You have to give people what they want and earn their trust if you’re going to sell to them down the road.

    Dangling that carrot will do the trick.
