Internet Marketing Tips – Experimenting With Other Niches
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: internet marketing strategies, internet marketing strategy, strategic internet marketingNo CommentsLots of marketers pigeonhole themselves into one niche and I never could understand why. Once you have an established business running, why not test the waters with other niches? I do it all the time and occasionally I find one that is really profitable. I then can decide how much time I want to put into it. I may even decide to drop something else that I am doing if my discovery turns out to be a gold mine. Well, this article is going to give you three simple steps to test out other niches that won’t take you much time at all.
The first step is to hit the keyword search tools. I use Wordtracker. Pick out a topic. It doesn’t matter what it is. Heck, write down a list of your hobbies or interests and start there. Go to the dictionary and pick out a word. Just pick something as a starting point. The time you’ll spend is literally minutes, so you’re not wasting a lot of time. Plug your word or phrase into Wordtracker and see how many daily searches there are. If you see potential there, move onto the next step.
Go to Google and see how many competing sites there are for the niche. If you see that the competition is weak, this may be a good niche to get into. Certainly it’s worth giving it a shot. Here’s a quick way to go about determining if it’s going to be profitable or not and it won’t take you a lot of time at all. This is the final step, which involves several things.
Go to the Clickbank marketplace and see if there is a product already selling for the niche. If there is, get a copy of it and write a review on it. Put the review on your blog. Then, write an article on the subject and submit the article to a directory. At the end of the article, direct people to your blog and let them read your review of the product. See how many sales you get. At the very least, see how many clicks you get on your blog. If you see that the traffic is steady, this may very well indicate a viable niche.
This whole process won’t take you more than a couple of hours and is a great way to see if a niche is going to have the potential to be profitable or not.
