Internet Marketing Tips – Finding Your Hungry Market
Filed under: Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; No CommentsNo, I’m not talking about people who need a good hamburger. I’m talking about finding people who are looking for YOUR product or service. These are the people with money burning a hole in their wallet. These are people who will come beating down your door to buy what you have to sell. If you’re having trouble finding them, you’re either looking in the wrong place or you have a product that nobody wants. This article will cover the basics of finding that hungry market.
The first step in finding your hungry market is having a product that people actually want. Some of the greatest products ever made failed simply because nobody wanted them. A recent soft drink by a very well known soft drink manufacturer was just pulled off the shelves after a year of dismal sales. Why? Nobody wanted it. And we’re talking about a soft drink giant. So just because you have a big name doesn’t mean that anything you create is going to sell.
So how do we determine if we have something that other people are going to want? This may sound like a stupid and Smart Alec answer, but you ask them. Where? For starters, every niche in existence has some kind of forum or discussion group where people go to discuss the needs and wants of that niche. Go there and participate in those discussions. See what people are looking for. If your product offers that solution, you’re in business.
Another thing you can do is go to Google and see if there are any paid ads being run for products in this niche. If there are, and the products seem similar to the one you’re offering, then there is a very good chance that your product will sell very nicely, provided you promote it correctly.
Another thing you can do is to go to places like Amazon and see if they’re selling products in this niche. Granted, they will probably be physical goods, but that doesn’t mean that digital products in this niche won’t sell as well.
Finding the actual market itself, once you’ve established that there is a demand for your product, is as simple as using targeted advertising resources, such as Google Adwords or solo ezine ads in the niche that you’re targeting. Even going back to the forums where you did your research can bring you lots of customers if you have what they want.
The process is not rocket science. Yes, there is some leg work involved, but once you’ve done it, you never have to do it again.
Finding your hungry market is really THAT easy.
