I hear it all the time. If only I could get into the inner circle of the big name gurus, I could make it big. Admit it, you’re probably one of them yourself. Hey, there is nothing wrong with wanting to get into the inner circle. After all, that’s one great way to build your business. But falling in with the gurus isn’t the only way to do it. You can form your own inner circle and beat them at their own game. Don’t know how? No problem…this article will show you.

The first thing you have to understand, and this is something a lot of marketers don’t get, gurus don’t get to be gurus purely by their skills as marketers. Some gurus don’t even know a thing about HTML but that didn’t stop them. What makes these people successful is that they know how to leverage their assets…their time and money. The things that they know they’re not good at, whether it be web design or graphic design or whatever, they outsource and let others handle it. They only concentrate on the things that they ARE good at. This leads to them making a lot of friends in the business.

Well, it’s really no different for you. You have your own skills as well. Maybe you DO have those web design skills. Or maybe you’re a great writer or can create some really cool software. By going out and looking for people who compliment your skills with skills of their own, you can pool your resources together and form your own inner circle. Imagine if you got together with four or five other people, all with lists of about 2,000 prospects. Suddenly, you’re marketing to about 10,000 people if you joint venture together. With a well made product and a good ad campaign, do you have any idea how many sales you can make on 10,000 prospects? Quite a few.

Many of the top gurus today actually started out just where you are. They built their businesses slowly to the point where they started to get some recognition. Over time, that recognition grew until suddenly, one day, they’re being talked about with the top names. Yes, that is exactly how it happens. These people weren’t born gurus, in spite of what you might think.

So get out there and look for people who are in your class. Together, you can form one pretty solid alliance.
