I've been a member of WF since Sep 2006 and know the value you have given that forum. First, thanks for that.

Next ... where are the rules posted in there about temporary banning?

I was temporarily banned for "bumping old threads". I have to say this one shocked me and I am kinda scared to post replies anywhere now due to it.

The treads I posted to I was not the original thread starter and was not purposely trying to bump them in any way. I was only posting because I found the threads interesting and wanted to put my 2 cents in.

since I had done a search for a particular subject that I was reading through, just like I did now for banning rules ... I probably posted 5 replies in an hour on some threads, the oldest being from march of '09.

Needless to say I was shocked when on the last post I made, the next page loaded to : YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED TEMPORARILY FOR BUMPING OLD THREADS

how old are old threads? isn't a forum for "discussion"? no matter how old the tread? what if it is a really really good thread ... I mean I just don't get it.
