Internet Marketing Tips – Getting Your House in Order
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: internet marketing strategies, internet marketing strategy, strategic internet marketingNo CommentsThis is yet another article that I am sure is going to provoke some strong responses. Well, you know what they say about staying out of the kitchen. Anyway, too many marketers blame their failings on others. It’s always somebody else’s fault. Either they’re complaining that they can’t get a joint venture or somebody said something nasty about them on their blog or whatever. Newsflash…you and you alone are responsible for your success. So before you go whining about all your bad luck, it’s time to get your OWN house in order first. This article is going to show you how.
First thing you have to do is take stock of yourself. What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? What is your business model like? Do you have your own product or are you selling other people’s products as an affiliate? What are your available funds for putting into the business? Don’t look to others to help you. You have to do this yourself, at least at the start. Sure, try to get JV partners and affiliates to help you sell your products, provided you have your own. But don’t count on them because relying on others is a sure ticket to disaster.
How do I know this? I have been marketing for over six years now. This January started my seventh year online and almost ALL of my success has been because of my own hard work. It wasn’t until my sixth year in business that I started to actually do things with other marketers. If I had relied on them early on, I would have been in big trouble. So instead, I concentrated on building my own business with my own two hands. I can count the number of “good” affiliates I have had on six years on one hand. And in spite of that, I am earning in excess of six figures a year. Don’t let the lack of help from others stop you.
My biggest piece of advice that I can give you is to reinvest in your business. Pretend that 10% of the income that you generated, you didn’t generate. Take that money and put it into advertising or product development or something. The more you put back into your marketing efforts, the more you will get back in return. Make sure you track everything you do. You don’t want to throw good money after bad. If something doesn’t work…stop doing it.
It’s time to stop blaming others for your failures. It’s time to take responsibility for your OWN business and get YOUR house in order.
To YOUR Success,
Steven Wagenheim
