One of the biggest complaints I hear from the people I run into online is that they’re sick and tired of the ads that promise you the moon and then when you finally get the product, it doesn’t nearly live up to the hype surrounding it. I am sure you have been a victim of this as well. Keeping that in mind, it is important to remember that when creating and marketing your own product that honesty on your end is critical as well. This article is going to give you some suggestions on how to keep your advertising honest and still make your ads attractive enough to get sales. Hopefully, after reading this, you won’t make the same mistakes that so many other marketers make each day.

The first, and probably most important thing to remember is that any claims you make on your sales page MUST be verifiable. Telling somebody that something is going to do such and such, guaranteed, and then not delivering on that promise is a ticket to disaster. The best way around this, if you want to keep some integrity in your promotions, is to tell people that you are quite sure, or almost positive that they’ll find your product to be everything you say it is. Back it up by telling them that you’ll refund every penny of their money if they’re not satisfied. This will alleviate some of their fear in purchasing.

Another thing you can do is let others tell your potential customers how great your product is. Testimonials from people who have actually used your product and can attest to it doing all the things you claim it will do is not only great credibility, but is keeps you yourself from having to make wild claims. Testimonials may very well be the most powerful force in getting others to buy.

Finally, there are the disclaimers. These are a must. If you have an income earning opportunity and you’re telling people that they can make X number of dollars each month, even showing testimonials from people who have, you must have a disclaimer saying that these results are atypical and that their results may vary. This releases you from any liability should somebody come back and say that you told them your product would do such and such and in fact it didn’t.

By doing these three simple little things, you will already have greatly increased the honesty and integrity of your ads and in the long run get more people to purchase your product or service.

    To YOUR Success,
