Internet Marketing Tips – How to Decrease Refunds
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online, Product Creation; Tagged as: create ebook, create ebooks, ebook creation, how to write an ebook, Product CreationNo CommentsLike it or not, refunds are a part of marketing life. There are always going to be some people who aren’t satisfied with your product and will request their money back. Having said that, this doesn’t mean that you have to put up with a high refund percentage. There are things that you can do to lower your refund rates. This article is going to go over a few of those things. While this list is by no means exhaustive, it will get you started.
At the top of the list is something so simple that I don’t know why more people don’t concentrate on this whether they are a product creator or an affiliate. Sell products that are of superb quality. I’d bet my bottom dollar that the refund rate on something like DLGuard is close to zero. It is, without a doubt, one of the best products I’ve seen in all my years of marketing. If you want fewer refunds, sell products that fewer people will return. Stay away from obvious hype and potentially bad products.
Another thing you can do is to offer some excellent bonuses with the products you sell. Sometimes, a person will actually buy the product because of the bonus itself. If the bonus is of good quality and something that the buyer would be insane to return, your chances of a refund are minimized. If the bonus is also something that is delivered over time, like a membership, this further reduces the risk of a refund because eventually, the refund period has lapsed as the bonus progresses in time.
Finally, you can lengthen your refund times. You heard me… lengthen. Before you call me stark raving mad, hear me out. See, when you offer a refund period of something like 6 months or even a year, the buyer will eventually forget all about it. As more time passes, the buyer will actually be less inclined to ask for a refund because they’ve either used the product successfully OR they put it aside and forget they ever got it. With a 30 day refund period, it’s on their mind constantly.
These are just a few of the many things you can do to reduce refunds. Try them out and see if YOUR refunds don’t decrease as a result.
